Women deserve specialized care from a team of experts who care about their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. That team is at the OSF Saint Anthony Women’s Center.
In a warm, comforting and private environment, the OSF Saint Anthony Women’s Center offers a full range of services:
- Digital mammography, the first in the region, which produces superior images for many women with dense breast tissue
- Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) technology that accompanies the radiologists’ readings of mammograms
- Stereotactic breast biopsy
- Ultrasound-guided fine needle localization
- Free Bone Health Program in conjunction with DEXA bone density screening
These services and programs assure women that the newest technology and research are available to them at the OSF Saint Anthony Women's Center. Most important of all, however, is the warm, comforting care and ongoing support provided each women by the Women's Center staff.

The OSF Women’s Center has joined forces with the OSF Center for Cancer Care to offer:
- The Breast & Ovarian Cancer Genetic Risk Assessment program, the first in the region
- The Breast Cancer Risk Reduction Class held monthly for those with above-average risk of developing breast cancer
- The Hoskins Pedigree Assessment Tool (H-PAT), which helps identify women whose medical histories suggest a heightened risk for hereditary-related breast cancer
- MammoSite, an internal radiation treatment for early stage breast cancer, the first in the region
- The “Bridges” Program which provides a “Navigator” for those newly diagnosed with breast cancer
- Monthly “Woman to Woman” Support Group meeting for those with breast cancer

Board Explores What Women Want
What women want and need continue to be explored by the OSF Saint Anthony Womens Health Advisory Board as part of the Medical Centers commitment to womens health issues.
Board members meet quarterly and provide advice and counsel on womens health issues to the administration of OSF Saint Anthony.
Made up of representatives from the northern Illinois community, the Advisory Board was established to assist OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center with its womens programming and services.
